HALO® Laser treatments

Youthful skin is healthy, glowing skin. But outside factors like sun damage, aging, and daily pollutants can impact your ability to keep your skin looking its best.

HALO® by Sciton is a revolutionary laser resurfacing treatment that combines the power of both ablative and nonablative technologies to provide intensive, noticeable results with significantly less downtime and recovery. This technology is the best of both worlds, as patients of all skin types can see visible improvements in fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, textural irregularities, acne scarring, and dyspigmentation issues.

  • What Is HALO®?

HALO® by Sciton™ is a hybrid fractional laser that is safe for all skin types, combining both ablative and nonablative wavelengths for visible improvement for various concerns–with minimal downtime.

HALO® is a comprehensive solution for a wide range of concerns. Its hybrid functionality is the key: ablative wavelengths target surface-level conditions, like textural irregularities, pore size, and dull skin, while the non ablative wavelengths go deeper, targeting sun damage and deeper pigmentation issues. The benefits of a HALO® laser treatment are numerous:

    • A gentler resurfacing treatment
    • Less pain than alternative treatments
    • Shorter downtime and recovery
    • Improves textural concerns, pigmentation issues, and pore size
    • Induces collagen production for lasting results
    • Noticeable improvement and “HALO® glow” after one treatment
  • How Are HALO® Treatments Performed?

Although HALO® is safe for all skin types, you must have a consultation with your provider so you can establish an effective treatment plan that addresses all of your concerns.

HALO® treatments usually take around 15 to 30 min to complete, with little discomfort or pain during treatment. Although the treatment is considered comfortable, some patients may opt to have a topical anesthetic on the treatment area about an hour prior to the procedure to allow the treatment area to be numbed.

Your provider will begin treatment by passing the HALO® device handpiece across your skin. As it gently rolls across your skin, the cooling features of the device will keep you comfortable. Your provider can adjust the intensity of your treatment as well; those who want a gentle, light treatment can opt for a less intense setting, while those who want dramatic results quickly can opt for a deeper treatment setting.

Once your treatment is finished, your skin will be protected with an SPF sunscreen, and you’ll be sent home.

  • Am I a good candidate?

One of the benefits of the HALO® laser is its wide application for all skin types. While comparable laser treatments can be too harsh for many patients, the HALO® provides remarkable results for patients with skin types I-VI on the Fitzpatrick scale without painful or prolonged downtime and recovery.

Ideal candidates for HALO® laser treatments:

    • Have dull, textured skin
    • Want to improve pigmentation issues, including sun spots
    • Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Want excellent results without a painful or prolonged recovery period
    • Have reasonable expectations for results
  • What Results Can I Expect After HALO® Treatments?

After the exfoliation period, you will notice an improvement in several skin concerns. Your fine lines and wrinkles may appear finer, textural irregularities will be smoothed, and your skin will have a brighter, more reflective quality.

Depending on your skin concerns and goals for the procedure, you may see impressive results in just one treatment, while other patients may require a series of treatments for optimum results.
